Wedding website checklist: what to test before sharing
Before inviting guests, review the website as someone seeing it for the first time. Checking facts and links matters as much as choosing a design, especially when several languages or events are involved.

Test on another device as a guest: an administrator session can show a different experience.
Compare event details with one agreed source
Check names, full date, weekday, venue and room against the details agreed with your venue. Distinguish reception and ceremony times, and cross-check Hebrew and Gregorian dates if both appear. Review every additional event independently.
For overseas guests, make clear that event times are local to Israel. Test calendar links with the Asia/Jerusalem zone and inspect the saved time on another device. The wording on an 'add to calendar' button does not prove that its calendar entry is correct.
Open the map rather than checking only the address
Tap the directions link on a phone and confirm the actual destination and entrance. For a complex with several halls, include the room name and a brief access instruction. Similar venue names can conceal an incorrect map pin until the wedding day.
Confirm parking, access and shuttle details with the people operating them. Provide a contact route for questions and avoid promising arrangements that have not been agreed. Mark unfinished details clearly and update them when confirmed.
Complete the entire RSVP journey
Use an appropriate test invitation. Check that the correct people appear, acceptance and decline both work, and meal or additional-event choices are understandable. Verify that the saved response appears correctly in the management list.
Also test changing a reply and reopening the link. A website that scrolls well is not necessarily a form that can be completed. Do not promise a messaging or payment channel in the invitation while it remains unavailable.
Read every active language on a small screen
Review names, venue, dates, buttons and RSVP questions in each enabled language. Check Hebrew and Arabic text direction and make sure switching languages does not show old details or another event.
Test image loading, readability and buttons on another phone, then share first with one willing tester. Directly notify invited guests after a major time or venue change; do not assume everyone will reopen the website.
Before you finish
- Names, date, weekday, venue and times match the agreed source.
- Map and calendar links were opened and checked on a phone.
- A test RSVP was saved and verified in management.
- Every active language and its text direction were reviewed.
- Images, copy and controls work on a small screen.
- There is a direct way to notify guests about changes.
Questions along the way
Why test on another device if it looks fine on mine?
An administrator session, cached information and screen size can hide problems guests encounter. Another device and a guest session check their actual journey.
Is editing the site enough to announce a new time?
Do not rely on it. Update the website and directly notify the invited audience so a significant change reaches people who already read the invitation.
