Questions & answers
Everything you
wanted to ask.
Plans, payment, gifts, sending and everything in between, answered plainly. Can't find yours? Write to us in the chat and a real person answers.
Getting started
How does it work, from start to finish?
Choose a plan, create your account and pay once. Then enter your names, the date and the venue a single time: they flow into the invitation, the website and every message. Choose your invitation and its matching website, add your guests and send. Every household receives its own personal link, and replies appear on your dashboard the moment they arrive.
Can we try it before we pay?
Yes, and without signing up. The interactive demo lets you open an invitation as a guest, build a sample site with your own names, or walk through a couple's dashboard with guests, celebrations, seating and messages. It's private, nothing is sent to anyone, and it resets by itself after 3 days. Your own wedding opens once your plan is paid.
What do we need to sign up?
Your name and email, a password or your Google account, and a card for the one-time payment. Sign-up has three short steps: choose a plan, create your account, pay. Your dashboard opens as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Do we have to type everything in ourselves?
Very little. Details are entered once and appear wherever they belong. Guests can be imported from Excel or Google Sheets, your phone's contacts, a contacts file, a WhatsApp chat or even a photo of a handwritten list, with a template to download. The helper writes and translates wording with you, and nothing changes until you approve it.
Can my partner or family manage it with us?
Yes. Invite your partner, a parent or whoever is helping you: they open the same dashboard from their own account, with the access you choose.
Plans & prices
How much does TheVows cost?
Three plans, one payment per wedding: Essential ₪299, Signature ₪599 and Bespoke ₪999. Every price includes VAT. There's no monthly fee and nothing per guest, whether you invite eighty people or eight hundred.
What does every plan include?
An invitation in an envelope that opens for each guest, a matching wedding website, a personal link for every household, unlimited RSVPs with meals and dietary needs, seating with a tidy pack for the venue, the wall of wishes, gift details for bit, PayBox or bank transfer, help with wording and translation, and messages sent for you: automatic WhatsApp messages (900 on Essential), plus SMS and email to every household.
What does Signature add?
65 couture invitation designs (115 in all) with 73 openings, 71 website designs with motion, up to 3 celebrations (a henna, a Shabbat chatan, a brunch) with a guest list for each, up to 4 languages, your own questions for guests, accommodation and things to do, shuttles, 80 gallery photos, 1,800 automatic WhatsApp messages and the thank-you message after the wedding.
What does Bespoke add?
65 cinematic invitation designs (180 in all) with every one of the 122 openings, all 118 website designs, the AI design studio, which composes an invitation and website from your story and photos, up to 5 celebrations and 6 languages, 200 gallery photos, 3,200 automatic WhatsApp messages and priority support.
Which plan is right for us?
Essential suits one celebration in up to 2 languages. Signature is our pick when there's more than the wedding itself, such as a henna or a brunch, or guests reading in more languages. Bespoke is for couples who want a one-of-a-kind design and the most room for everything. Not sure? Try each plan in the demo, or ask us in the chat.
Can we upgrade later?
Yes, at any time. You pay only the difference between the two plans, and nothing you've entered is lost.
Is there a limit on guests?
No. There's no per-guest fee and no limit on guests or replies. What differs between plans is the number of celebrations, languages, designs and automatic WhatsApp messages.
What if we need more WhatsApp messages?
Add a pack of 200 automatic WhatsApp messages for ₪59, on any plan, from the plan page in your dashboard, as many times as you need. Packs can be used for any celebration. SMS and email to your households are included without a count, and sharing from your own phone never counts.
Payments & VAT
Do the prices include VAT?
Yes. Every price in shekels includes Israeli VAT (18%). The price you see is the price you pay; nothing is added at checkout.
How and when do we pay?
Once, by card, as the last step of signing up. The card form belongs to our payment provider, Tranzila; card details go straight to them and TheVows never stores them. Your account and dashboard open as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Which payment methods can we use?
Credit cards. Apple Pay and Google Pay are coming soon. bit and PayBox aren't used for plans; they're for your guests' gifts, straight to you.
Is it a subscription?
No. One payment covers your wedding, with no renewal and no monthly fee. Your website and invitation stay live through your planning, on the day and for 3 months after.
Will we receive an invoice?
Yes. Invoices for plans, upgrades and message packs are currently sent by our team. If one is missing, write to us in the chat.
Can we cancel and get a refund?
Yes, as Israel's Consumer Protection Law sets out. Write to us within 14 days of buying and we refund you within 14 days, less a cancellation fee of 5% of the price or ₪100, whichever is lower. Once invitations have gone out to guests, the service has been delivered and can no longer be cancelled, unless the law says otherwise. People with disabilities, senior citizens and new immigrants may cancel within 4 months.
Gifts & fees
How can guests give us a gift?
Two ways, side by side on your website. bit, PayBox or bank details that you publish: the money goes straight from your guests to you, free for everyone, with no fee from TheVows. And card gifts: guests pay by card on a secure page and add a 2.5% service fee including VAT, shown before they pay, so you receive the full gift.
Who pays the card-gift fee?
The guest, on top of the gift, and it's shown before they pay. On a gift of ₪1,000, the guest pays ₪1,025 and you receive the full ₪1,000. Gifts by bit, PayBox or bank transfer carry no fee from us at all.
When does card-gift money reach us?
By bank transfer, between the 10th and the 15th of the month after your wedding month. A gift that arrives later joins the transfer of the month after it was given. You enter your bank details once on the Gifts page, and your dashboard shows every gift, every transfer and the balance.
What if a card gift is cancelled or disputed?
A refunded or disputed gift comes off your balance. If it was already transferred to you, we send a detailed written request and you return only that amount within 7 banking business days. The same sum is never collected twice.
Can we keep track of gifts and thank everyone?
Yes. The Gifts page lists the gifts that come in; you can add cash, cheque or transfer gifts yourselves, mark each one as thanked and export the list. Signature and Bespoke include a thank-you message to send after the wedding.
Can we link to a gift registry?
Yes. Add links to outside gift registries on your Gifts page and they appear on your website beside your other gift options.
Invitations & messages
How do the invitations reach our guests?
Two ways, mixed however you like. Share from your own phone: WhatsApp, SMS or email opens with the message and the household's personal link ready, and you tap send, at no cost. Or let us send for you: automatic WhatsApp, SMS and email from TheVows, with delivery tracking and reminders only to those who haven't replied.
Do messages come from our own number?
Only when you share from your phone. Messages we send for you go out from TheVows' WhatsApp business number, never from yours.
Could our WhatsApp get blocked?
When you share from your phone you send each personal message yourselves, one by one, just as you'd write to friends, not a broadcast from a private number. Automatic messages don't leave your number at all.
What about guests without WhatsApp?
Each household gets the channels you tick for it: WhatsApp to a number with its country code, SMS to Israeli mobile numbers, or email. A household with no phone or email isn't sent anything until you add one, and you can always copy its personal link and send it any way you like.
When do automatic messages go out?
On the schedule you confirm: the invitation, reminders, the day itself and the thank-you. Suggested dates stay suggestions until you confirm, and you can pause, resume or cancel at any time. Messages go out only between 09:00 and 21:00 Israel time, and only after your website is published.
Can we write our own message?
Yes. Automatic WhatsApp uses wording WhatsApp has approved for each language and message type; a message you write yourselves goes by SMS and email, or from your own phone.
What if a message doesn't arrive?
The "Didn't arrive" tab lists every message we sent that bounced or couldn't be delivered, with the reason. Retry on the same channel, send again by SMS or email, or copy the household's personal link. You can also fix the contact on the household's card.
RSVPs & guests
How do guests reply?
From their personal link, in under a minute, with no app and no sign-up. They see the invitation addressed to them, reply for each celebration they're invited to and for exactly the people on their invitation, and choose meals and note dietary needs as they go.
We have a henna, a Shabbat chatan and a brunch. Do we need separate invitations?
No. Each household has one personal link: the invitation and the website show only the celebrations it's invited to, with a matching card for each, and one RSVP covers them all. Private celebrations simply don't appear for anyone who isn't invited. Signature includes up to 3 celebrations and Bespoke up to 5.
Can we import our guest list?
Yes: from Excel or Google Sheets, a contacts file, your phone's contacts, a WhatsApp chat or a photo of a list. Columns are matched for you and you can correct them. Guests already on your list are updated, not added twice. Numbers from abroad just need their country code.
Can we ask guests our own questions?
Yes, on Signature and Bespoke: add your own questions to the RSVP, beside meals and dietary needs, which every plan includes.
How do we know who hasn't replied yet?
Your dashboard shows who has received, opened and answered, by celebration, and updates the moment a guest replies. One tap reminds only the households still waiting.
Can we export everything?
Yes, at any time: your guest list, RSVPs and gifts, ready for Excel.
Seating
How does seating work?
Add your tables and the room's elements, then drag guests onto tables or tap a name and then a table. Families stay together, and you see at once when a table runs over. Auto-arrange can fill the free seats for you, with a preview first; guests you've already seated stay put. Seating is on every plan.
What does the venue receive?
One tidy pack: final numbers, meals and dietary needs, seating by table and by name, place cards, a seating poster and the floor plan, as PDF or Excel, plus a private link that always stays up to date. It never includes phone numbers or gift details. There's also a hostess mode for the entrance: search a name, see the table, tap when they arrive.
Can guests find their own table?
Yes, when you choose: tables stay hidden, appear automatically on the wedding day, or show now. A "Find my table" QR code at the venue lets an invited guest type part of their name and see where they're sitting.
Can each celebration have its own seating?
Yes. A celebration can have its own seating plan, use the main celebration's seats, or have no seating at all.
Design & website
How many designs are there?
180 invitation designs and 118 website designs, and the collection keeps growing. Essential includes 50 invitation designs and 24 website designs, Signature 115 and 71, and Bespoke all of them. Every design is shown with your own names before you choose.
Can we change fonts, colours and wording?
Yes. Choose font pairings, palettes, an accent colour and text size, and edit the wording right on the invitation. Changes save as a draft, and guests see them only after you press Publish. Some fonts and palettes belong to the higher plans.
What is the AI design studio?
Part of Bespoke: describe your story, add your photos, and it composes an invitation and website that are entirely your own. On every plan, the AI helper writes and translates wording with you and suggests colours and fonts, and nothing changes until you approve it.
Can you design it for us?
Our team doesn't design by hand. On every plan you choose a design and make it yours, with help in wording and translation, and we answer any question in the chat. On Bespoke, the AI design studio creates an original design from your story and photos.
What's our website's address?
It's made from your names: thevows.day/your-names. Every household also has its own personal link that opens the invitation addressed to them.
Can we add photos?
Yes. The gallery holds 24 photos on Essential, 80 on Signature and 200 on Bespoke. Guests can leave wishes and photos on the wall of wishes, you choose what appears, and you can even show it live at the venue.
How long does our website stay up?
Through your planning, on the day and for 3 months after. During that time you can export your guest list, RSVPs and gifts.
Languages
Which languages can our guests read it in?
Hebrew, English, Russian, French, Spanish, Arabic and many more, each with its own wording and typography, with right-to-left languages set properly.
How many languages can one wedding use?
Up to 2 on Essential, 4 on Signature and 6 on Bespoke.
Does each guest see their own language?
Yes. Each household sees the invitation, the website and its messages in the language saved on your guest list. Your own texts can be translated automatically, then corrected by you.
Can we use the dashboard in English?
Yes. The site and your dashboard are in Hebrew, English, Russian, French, Spanish and Arabic; switch at any time from the language menu.
Privacy & data
Who can see our guests' details?
Only you and the people you invite to manage the wedding. Each household sees only its own invitation, and private celebrations appear only to those invited. Dietary needs are shown only to you and those you authorise, and the venue's link has no phone numbers and no gift details. We never sell personal information.
How long do you keep our data?
Your website and invitation stay live until 3 months after the wedding. After that, guest details are deleted or stripped of anything identifying within 30 days. Your account details are kept while the account is active and deleted on request.
Do you store our card details?
No. Card details are entered on our payment provider's secure form and never stored by TheVows.
What does the AI helper see?
Only what you write to it and what it needs to answer. It never changes anything until you confirm.
Can we see or delete our information?
Yes. Export your guest list, RSVPs and gifts at any time, and ask our team to review, correct or delete your information. Guests can ask the couple who invited them, or us directly.
Couples abroad
We don't live in Israel. Can we use TheVows?
Of course. The invitation, the website and your dashboard work anywhere, in your guests' languages, and the demo shows names, venues and phone numbers from your part of the world.
Which currency do we pay in?
Today every plan is charged in shekels. Prices shown in your currency are an approximation at current exchange rates; your bank converts the charge at its own rate and may add a fee. Payment in US and Canadian dollars is being prepared. Until it opens, nothing is charged in dollars.
Can our guests abroad receive the invitation?
Yes. WhatsApp reaches numbers in other countries when they're saved with their country code, and email works everywhere. SMS is for Israeli mobile numbers. Automatic messages go out between 09:00 and 21:00 Israel time.
Can we receive card gifts if we live abroad?
Card gifts are collected in shekels and transferred to you by bank transfer. For couples living in Canada and the US, card gifts in their own currency are being prepared. Bank details or a gift-registry link on your website work from anywhere, today.
